The motor lasted forever but the physical hardware buttons eventually started to fail after like a decade.
This dreo is the only humidifier, out of many i've tried, that registers an accurate humidity level!

I can't speak on the longevity in comparison to my vornado product (the air circulator) because i've only had the dreo fan for approx.
I do wish it came with a remote like another brand that i have.
