I love my birks, but wanted something a little less expensive.
Price is low enough that i don't worry about getting dirty or damaged.

The shoes are good quality and comfort but the width even with the velcro fasteners is still too wide

I need to use the full range of motion in my foot or i end up penguin waddling which has been a problem with double banded sandals too close to where the top of the foot bends

The whole shoe is triple layered hard outer rubber on the bottom then a super dense foam inside it then the soft rubber coated foam on top but the toe is is delightfully soft to walk on in a good way

Very soft feeling but the bottom material is so dense i think it could handle staples and stray nails fine even in the thin toe area
