I purchased one back in 2022, and it only malfunctioned today after heavy use for three years.
I had an issue with one of them after about 6 months where it wouldn't fully open or close on its own.
Price
Value for the price and highly recommended.
I do think it's a bit pricey at $30 though.

I called the company and mentioned the lifetime warranty and they sent me a new one for free the next day

When first deployed a string holding the ribs together for shipment perhaps somehow was caught in the automatic open mechanism
